“I feel like I want to cry and at the same time laugh, and I just really want to dance,” said Solo Tohi, one of the members of the group.
“As long as its positive and your dream is strong, anyone can do anything.”
The win will net Justice Crew $250,000 in prizemoney. The Sydney-based group, which has been together for one and a half years, comprises self-taught dancers who “didn’t have the money to pay for classes” and practice together using the windows of the Sydney Entertainment Centre in lieu of the financial capacity to hire a studio. The members of the group now teach disadvantaged children for free.
